You may refer people who are on methadone or
buprenorphine, or who need an assessment for suitability for
methadone or other alternative pharmacotherapies and:
- Live in the southern metropolitan region
of melbourne (the municipalities of Port Philip, Glen Eira,
Bayside, Stonninton, Kingston, Greater Dandenong, Casey, Cardinia,
Frankston and Mornington
Peninsula)
AND/OR
- Are at risk or overdose and other medical problems and would
benefit from specialist support in reducing their substance
use;
AND/OR
- Are having problems that are causing difficulties for their
existing prescriber and/or pharmacist;
AND/OR
- Have other social problems are require help in stabilising
their lives;
AND/OR
- Have co-existing medical or psychiatric problems and require
specialist care.
You will need to provide a referral letter
to the clinic either prior to or on the day of your clients first
appointment.
