There is no mandatory training for pharmacies in Victoria to become accredited dispensers of methadone/buprenorphine. 

If you are interested in becoming an accredited pharmacy please contact the Department of Human Services Drugs and Poisons Unit on 9637 5057 to arrange a visit from a Drugs and Poisons Officer.

It is however recommended that pharmacists and other staff attend the methadone/buprenorphine workshop to familiarise themselves with the framework in which methadone/buprenorphine are prescribed and dispensed.

It is also an excellent opportunity to network with new prescribers and create/build up linkages.
