Southcity Clinic offers a range of clinical
services to both clients and health professionals.

Medical
Services
Specialist medical assessment and treatment are
provided for referred methadone and other alternative
pharmacotherapy patients with significant medical, psychiatric
and/or psychosocial problems. The Medical Director and other doctors
in attendance are highly experienced specialists in the drug and
alcohol field.
Psychiatric Support
A
psychiatric registrar on rotation from the Alfred Hospital is in
attendance weekly to provide assessment and support to patients at
the clinic.
Individual
Therapy
Psychotherapeutic counselling provided by highly
experienced clinicians with postgraduate qualifications in social
work and related disciplines.
Group Program
Individual
therapy reinforced by a creative writing group program which
provides participants with the opportunity to explore their lives
and experiences in a safe and structured group environment (run
intermittently depending on numbers).
Family Support
Therapy
opportunities are also provided to families/carers of patients where
appropriate.
Case Management
Each
patient is case managed.
